Extract and Repackage Knowledge from Video
iPOV has evolved a repertoire of techniques and services to extract knowledge from informal video clips and repackage that knowledge in a wide range of media and formats. Generally, the original video is discarded after the information has been pulled out and repackaged. Two of the most frequently requested methods are shown below:
Repackage as Multimedia
Extract knowledge from video and repackage as a Flash animation or simulation. This is essentially going from video to "video plus enhancements". The advantage over "traditional" multimedia production is usually significant. Most subject matter experts are not familiar with multimedia tools, and writing a complete script can be a time consuming process, which can sometimes require knowledge of what is and isn't possible in a given tool. By simply asking the expert to prepare some talking points, and then doing a low-key interview on camera (or using screen capture tools) you can grab the majority of the important information in a sinlge seating, allowing the expert to return to their normal activities until their input is required at the review stage.

Repackage as Text
Extract knowledge from video and repackage as a text & graphics manual. This can be done either as a complement to multimedia production, or as an end to itself.
